Marie Ellen Edwards Clark, 82, Mooresville, died April 10, 2009, in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove.  Mrs. Clark was born March 25, 1927, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Clyde Addison and Fern Beatrice (Hough) Soots.  

 

Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and a member of New Life Community Wesleyan Church.  She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, and traveling. 

 

She married Thomas D. Edwards on March 27, 1943, and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1979.  She was also predeceased by her son, Thomas Edwards; daughter, Connie Craft; sister, Freda Mackey.  

 

Survivors include her husband, Herman J. Clark, to whom she was united in marriage May 16, 1981; sons, Michael R. Edwards of Martinsville, Tony Edwards of Martinsville; daughters, Donna M. Cloud of Mooresville, Vicki L. Elmore of Monrovia; and Herman’s six children; brother, Melvin Soots of Cloverdale; sister, Cheryl Parker of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. 

 

Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Pastor Mike Linville will officiate the service. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Community Wesleyan Church.
