A. Wayne Jaynes, 68, Monrovia, died May 3, 2009. Mr. Jaynes was born November 15, 1940, in Indianapolis, to the late Albert F. and Rachel Lodema (Wallace) Jaynes.  

 

Mr. Jaynes worked for Citizens Gas & Coke Utility for 43 years as a customer service representative, retiring in 2000. He was a proud member of the Martinsville Masonic Lodge and past patron of the Monrovia Order of the Eastern Star. In addition, he was a member of the Gregg Twp. Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Jaynes especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

 

Survivors include his wife, Lynda Jaynes, they were united in marriage April 15, 1961; sons, Robert W. Jaynes (Angie) of Terre Haute, Mark A. Jaynes (Desiree) of Monrovia; daughter, Shannon Hollcraft (Phil) of Monrovia; sister, Leona Miller of Florida; grandchildren, Michael and Rachel Jaynes, Shelby Thompson; Lauren and Evan Jaynes;  Kenny, Patrick, and Courtney Hollcraft.  

 

A memorial service will begin at 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2009, in Monrovia Christian Church, with calling there from 4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to fight pancreatic cancer by visiting www.pancreatic.org.
