| We will greatly miss
Dad McNabney. He was a very special person, always loving and giving. When you saw or met Ray McNabney, you immediately received a greeting and a smile. He was one of the gentlest and kindest men, I have ever known. His funeral service on July 2, 2009 was not a typical funeral service, it was a Homegoing Celebration Service. All of the bible verses used, words spoken concerning Dad and later service about heaven. special music played by Mrs. Perry and songs sung by Bill Alfrey and grandson, Todd McNabney, all reminded us of where Dad is now and we will again be reunited with him and our other loved ones with Jesus in heaven.
Dad was ready to meet his Lord and Savior, but he was concerned about leaving MamMa behind since he could no longer care for or look after her. We told him his last day with us that it was okay, he could rest and go to his Father, that we would look after MamMa for him.
The day he died, July 28, 2009 was PapPa and MamMa McNabney's 70th wedding anniversary. We had planned a family get together that day worshipping with our families at their churches and celebrating my Mother's 74th anniversary date (June 22) and Bill's parents 70th date. We were going to all eat lunch together at Poe's Restaurant afterwards. God's plans were different from ours. We spent the day at the hospital. It was God's plan to call Dad McNabney home to himself that day, and we were at his bedside to witness this event. How blessed we are to have had the parents we each have had, the parents faithfulness to each other, being taught by them of God's love for us and the importance of serving Him and preparing to be with Him in eternity, and the love we still receive from our Mothers.
PapPa will be greatly missed by MamMa, Margaret, Bill, Linda, grandchildren and great grandchildren, friends, neighbors and acquaintances but we look forward to being with him again. I have been greatly blessed to spend the last 43 years wit |

| The service held for your father today was really a tribute to an amazing man. His life explains why his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren are the people they are today. |

| It comes as a big shock to us that we have lost such a GREAT neighbr. We have had the great privilege of living next to Ray & Catherine for more than 15 years. We will miss the terrific stories that both he & Catherine have shared over the years, especially when Robin took over homemade chili and pie from Grey's only to spend hours talking :). Ray is NO doubt in our minds with GOD now. We are going to miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers our with Catherine, the rest of his family and friends. |

He will be missed, but certainly will also be remembered well and with great fondness. I am grateful for this legacy of genuine Christian genrousity and grace. |

| Some friends and I were planning to build a ramp for Ray and Catherine and I was so excited knowing that I was going to see them again. I recieved the news about Ray Monday afternoon and I was devastated. I formed a great friendship with Ray through Habitat and we will all miss him dearly. Ray was a great man and lived a wonderful life and I am so blessed to have known him and will never forget how he has changed my life. When I start to cry because I wanted to see him one more time I close my eyes and remember how warm his hugs were and I know I will see him again. |

| I so enjoyed bible study with them at Phil and Rosalie's house for many years. But, one thing that was so important to me was that, Ray was the determining factor as to where I sat each Lord's day in church. Because I HAD to be near Ray to hear his beautiful Irish tenor voice at congregational singing each Lord's day. So, wherever Ray was, I would always be very near him each time. |

| Ray McNabney was a true example of what a servant of God should be. He and Catherine are two of the finest people I have ever met at Mt. Gilead and I consider it a blessing to know them both. |
