Wilma J. Fisher, 65, Monrovia, died January 31, 2010, in Select Specialty Hospital, Beech Grove. Wilma was born January 31, 1945, in Jonestown, Pennsylvania, to the late Martin and Ethel (Michenfelder) Dilger.
Wilma graduated from North Lebanon Valley High School in Pennsylvania. She worked for the last 15 years in customer service and as a training coordinator at the Plainfield Walmart. Prior to, she worked for Monrovia High School in bookkeeping and in the bookstore. Wilma was a member of the Monrovia Nazarene Church. She loved animals, reading, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary W. Chastain, who died in 1978; second husband, Michael D. Sullivan, who died in 1984; sister, Shirley Kohr.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff K. Fisher, to whom she was united in marriage November 9, 1987; sons, Jeff McDonald of Des Moines, Iowa, Paul E. Chastain (Jenni) of Mooresville, Greg W. Chastain (Laura) of Noblesville, John P. Chastain (Jenny) of Mooresville; stepson, Kristan Fisher (Jana) of Danville; stepdaughter, Karie Jones (Matthew) of Avon; sister, Cathy McIntyre of Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2010, in Gasburg Baptist Church, with calling there from 2 p.m. Rev. Jack Elliott will officiate. According to Wilma’s wishes, cremation will have taken place. Memorial Contributions may be made to Morgan County Humane Society or to a favorite charity benefitting animals. |
