Robert J. Matt, Jr., 65, of Mooresville, died February 5, 2010. Bob was born on June 30, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Robert and Vera (Davison) Matt.
Mr. Matt graduated from Purcell High School and later attended the University of Cincinnati. In 2001, Bob retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 32 years of government service. He was also the proud owner and operator of Tackle Service Center in Mooresville, serving the community with all of their fishing and hunting needs for 38 years. Bob was a proud member of the NRA and will be remembered as an outdoorsman, avid hunter, and Ebay aficionado.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Kammann) Matt.
His survivors include his daughter, Natalie Leavy (Mark) of Pleasant Ridge, Michigan; sons, Bobby Matt (Karen) of Mooresville, and Michael Matt of Mooresville; and four grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will take place for Bob on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, from 5-7p.m., in the Carlisle and Son Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan County Humane Society, 690 West Mitchell Street, Martinsville, IN 46151. |
