Dar VanHook, 61, Mooresville, died September 22, 2008, in Community Hospital South.  Dar was born November 17, 1946, in San Diego, California to the late Ray Gene and V.P. (Fellows) Underwood. 

Dar worked for more than ten years at the Waverly Inn and most recently at Daniels Market, where she had been employed for the last nine years.  She took pride in caring for her yard and also enjoyed animals. 

Survivors include her former spouse,     Mike VanHook of Mooresville; son, Mikey VanHook (Tammy) of Camby; daughter, Richele Starns (Michael Wayne) of Mooresville; brother, Benny Underwood of Georgia; sister, Sharon Barlow (Jim) of Georgia; grandchildren, Cory, Kristin, Jared, and Danny. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 25, 2008, 3 to 7 p.m., in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville.  A funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tony Cannon officiating.
